UpGrade Lifestyle’s team of professionals is comprised of a wellness director, registered dietitian, personal fitness trainers and multi-sport coaches. The staff takes pride in creating healthy, balanced lifestyle programs and providing a high level of quality coaching in strength training, swimming, cycling, and running.
UpGrade clients are trained to succeed in weight loss, reduce cholesterol, lower high blood pressure, improve blood sugar levels, reduce body fat, enhance cardiovascular health, and elevate metabolisms. Clients of all ages have achieved their first 5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon, sprint to Iron distance triathlons. Teenage runners and swimmers have improved technique, speed and overall strength to be recruited by the top colleges in the country.
UpGrade Lifestyle Plans have made a tremendous impact on the lives of many in our community. Monthly Plans are custom designed fitness training along with personal training sessions, physical assessments and nutrition guidelines approved by UpGrade Lifestyle Registered Dietitian, Megan Hovis. Upgrade Lifestyle’s team of trainers offer a high level of experience and are dedicated to the success of each individual client. “I reached out to UpGrade Lifestyle because I wanted to get stronger and healthier. Jill Baulieu and the team at UpGrade helped me get started with weekly strength training sessions, a customized nutrition plan and a monthly multi-sport training calendar. Here are the exciting things I experienced from this program: My weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol are down. At our company’s annual assessment, I had the best numbers that I’ve ever had! I can wear clothes from the back of my closet that didn’t fit the last couple of years. I can run over four miles and feel energized instead of exhausted. I am swimming faster. “I was at a point in my life that I needed to do something about my health,” Jack says. “I was overweight and out of breath in everyday basic activities, including trying to keep up with my children.” He stumbled upon an article about excuses people use for not exercising. In the article, Megan Hovis, an UpGrade Lifestyle Personal Trainer and Registered Dietitian, had some motivating words that inspired Jack to contact her for a consultation. Megan designed a balanced fitness plan with weekly assessments. “I was surprised to have lost 15 pounds in the first three weeks and then an additional seven pounds in the next three weeks,” Jack says. He had developed a new network of running friends, many of whom are UpGrade Lifestyle clients. UpGrade Lifestyle has various fitness services in which Jack participates, including yoga, swim lessons and indoor cycling classes and run classes. This year, Jack is working toward completing his first triathlon and maintaining his active and healthy lifestyle. And now, Jack’s children are trying to keep up with him! – Jack Haddock
